Swap, Drop and Roll is a social experiment on the communities that form where the complex pathways of the book intersect. To build a Situational Library is an attempt to make visible, if only for an instant, those communities that form at each passing of the book. Swapping a book requires a point of contact, the sharing of a common space through which there may be an exchange of energies, along with the material object itself. Within this Situational Library there is the potential for the divergence and reconfiguration of the book, not through some alteration of its medium or mode of inscription, but through those who hold the idea of the book in common.
